Inspiration Tuesday! (possibly the biggest one yet!)

Happy Tuesday!

Here are some of the things that are inspiring me this week. Oh my! I have SO much for you this time around! YAY!

Let’s start with the wonderfully-titled “Boooooobs. (And, ya know, what they can do for your self-esteem.)” by the lovely Kyeli of The Connection Revolution.

(Beautiful Kyeli and her BOOOOOBS. …And now I want a kickass blue bra…)

As someone who has been in nursing bras for the past 3 years, I can attest to the awesome power of the adorable bra. I WANTS some. Let’s all celebrate the clothes that make us feel FREAKING AWESOME (yes, I have some…just not bras. Not yet. But JUST YOU WAIT!) πŸ™‚

Next, here’s a blog post about a Nike ad that I absolutely don’t remember but wish I did.

“…Because you know it’s never too late to have a life. And never too late to change one.

JUST DO IT”

LOVE that!
And just for extra goodness, check out Tara’s philosophy, which I found after reading the post above. Fantastic! This is exactly what I’m looking for in a photographer (or in anyone, really) πŸ™‚

As you know, I’ve been having a rough time lately. Which is why I SO appreciated this post by Alexandra Franzen (of the awesomely-named Unicorns for Socialism):

How to Survive When Everything Sucks.

Thank you for this. It was so needed. And it helped a lot.

Let’s see…

Oh! The other day I was walking down a Halifax street and I saw this sign:

Which, I must admit, made me grin. It also made me very glad I had my camera on me!

And then today I found this site: Operation Beautiful

I don’t know if the person who posted the sign I saw is involved with Operation Beautiful, or if this was just completely serendipitous, and you know what? I don’t think it matters. I’m just glad that people out there are doing stuff like this. Now I need to buy some post-it notes so I can play too! πŸ˜€

And there’s more! (I know! This week is CRAZY!)

Today is the first day of registration for Jamie Ridler’s Sparkles e-course!

Isn’t she a delight? I heart her. And I also heart this course idea. As a mom who has a LOT of trouble carving out time for play and creativity, I know from experience how needed this course is. Plus, I am just blown away by the collection of teachers she’s assembled!

(P.S. I am super-excited because I get to talk to Jamie on the phone next week! She’s interviewing me for her utterly-fabulous-makes-me-smile-every-time podcast, Creative Living With Jamie! I’ll let you know when that’s going to be aired as soon as I know!)

Two more things (I know, the mind reels! :P)

Last weekend the magical Goddess Leonie posted a video interview with Momma Zen author Karen Maezen Miller:

There is SO MUCH in this interview. I’ve listened to it 3 times, and I still feel like there’s much more to absorb. Karen Maezen Miller blogs over HERE. Now excuse me while I go put both of her books on my library hold list (again)…

OK, back. Finally, does anyone know when this documentary is coming out? Or is it out now? WHERE CAN I FIND IT?!?! *jumps up and down*

(…I’ll let you know if I find out…)

And that, my dears, is this week’s Inspiration Tuesday!

I hope you have a fabulous week!

  1. Ha! I’m super glad you enjoyed the boobs post. It was fun to write – and took a direction I wasn’t expecting, which is always entertaining. (; Yay for glorious clothes and gorgeous women (of which, you are one)!

  2. Awesome, awesome, and more awesome!! You have so inspired me today, my dear. And that’s BIG. (Did you know my favorite quote is: “In the end, inspiration is everything.”? So, I guess that means you are my everything. :D)

    THANK YOU!!!!!!

    xxxooo

    • I didn’t! I looked and looked! It’s not on IMDB, and I can’t find it anywhere else. The trailer is all over the internet, but it was posted a YEAR ago…I don’t know where the actual documentary is! BOO. I’ll let you know if I hear anything else.
